Collie is adjusting slowly. Naturally, he seemed awkward and didn't know what to do in our home at first. I showed him around our humble home slowly still on leash. After a while, we put him on our sofa where he finally seemed comfortable (it became a semi-permanent Collie spot!)

We take him out for walks 2 or 3 times a day. He is definitely not food-motivated as described in his profile but he does eat well after his walk. He eats better when he feels comfortable and relaxed so we try to make sure he feels that way with us.

It was quickly discovered that Collie panics when having to go down the stairs. (Up is easy-peasy) For now, we are avoiding big stairs. He is fine on a single step up and down so we are trying to build his confidence by hopping on & off a single step.

He is timid and scares easy but I can tell he is not shy. We can't wait for him to open up and start living a happy and comfortable life with us. :-) Thank you again to everyone involved in bringing Collie to us.

콜리는 천천히 적응하는 중이에요. 당연히 저희 집에 처음 왔을 때는 어색해하고 어쩔 줄 몰라했어요. 목줄을 맨 채로 저희 집을 천천히 구경시켜주었어요. 시간이 좀 지나서 소파에 올려주었더니 그제서야 좀 편안해 하더라고요. (소파는 반영구적인 콜리 자리가 되었어요!)

하루에 두세 번 정도 산책을 시켜주고 있어요. 프로필에 적힌 것처럼 음식에 그렇게 의욕을 보이지는 않지만, 산책 후에는 잘 먹어요. 긴장이 풀리고 편한 상태에서는 더 잘 먹고 있어서, 그렇게 해주려고 노력 중이에요.

콜리가 계단을 내려가는 걸 무서워한다는 걸 알게 되었어요. (올라가는 건 아주 잘하는데요) 당분간은 높은 계단은 피하고 있어요. 계단 하나를 오르내리는 건 잘해요. 그래서 그걸 반복해서 계단에 대한 자신감을 쌓아주려고 하고 있어요.

콜리는 겁이 많지만 낯가림은 없네요. 저희는 콜리가 빨리 마음을 열어서 저희와 행복하고 편한 생활을 시작했으면 좋겠어요.  :-) 콜리를 저희에게 올 수 있도록 도움을 주신 모든 분께 다시 한번 감사드려요.
