Cash is such a character and we love him dearly already. It hasn't been (and still isn't) easy, with his potty training and resource guarding, but it's been worth it. He's really proof you can teach an old man new tricks. He sits very well, and knows 'off'. He barks in his crate sometimes, but does well with correction. He is also very energetic and loves to play with toys! He got lots of gifts from his grandparents haha!

 He is so curious, he is always following his nose. His nose led him to fall into a pond, but he learned to stay away from it since then. He is also quite a little monkey, and is good at climbing up onto tables and desks 😅 my other dog, Ozzy, is warming up to him too. Although, Cash still tends to ignore him. His favourite thing to do is watch dogs on TV and watching my lovebird Peanut. He loves watching her eat, mostly because she always throws some food on the floor for him 😋  His trust is growing with me, and we are working on his trust with my husband (they are getting better, but Cash gets very protective of me). Still, at the end of the day, Cash chooses to sit in my husband's lap over mine 😅

The beginning was hard, I have to be honest. He did bite my husband and I (he got me pretty badly a few times) but it was just because we over stepped his boundary. I was so nervous that I wasn't the right home for him. My husband and I talked about it and decided to continue to try correction with positive reinforcement and obedience training. He has been doing so well now that we have established trust and boundaries. I know he will be a great part of our family. It has been so worth it.

He's gone shopping with me and everyone loves to say hello to him. No one believes me when I say he's 8 years old, they always assume he's really young! He loves to climb onto the bottom shelves and smell everything he can find. He loves new people, but has to smell everything around them before he will say hello. He's popular everywhere he goes!

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone involved in his rescue and getting him all the way to me. I am so grateful for him and truly appreciate the opportunity to give him a second chance. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to an amazing cause! 

푸치는 참 개성이 확실한 아이예요. 우리는 이미 푸치를 너무 사랑하고 있어요. 푸치의 배변 훈련과 소유욕 문제를 다루는 일이 쉽지는 않았지만 (지금도 쉽지는 않지만) 많은 발전이 있었어요. 푸치는 늙은 개에게 새로운 걸 가르칠 수 있다는 말의 산증인이에요. 앉아도 매우 잘하고, “놔”도 알아들어요. 켄넬 안에서 종종 짖지만 그만하라고 하면 멈춰요. 푸치는 또 에너지가 매우 넘치고 장난감을 가지고 노는 걸 좋아해요! 할아버지 할머니한테 장난감 선물도 엄청 많이 받았어요 하하!

푸치는 호기심이 엄청 많아요. 한번은 땅에 코를 박고 다니다가 물웅덩이에 빠지기도 했어요. 지금은 알고 피해요. 또 작은 원숭이처럼 탁자나 책상에 잘 기어올라요. 개형제 “오지”는 푸치에게 마음을 열고 있어요. 하지만 푸치는 아직 오지를 무시하고 있어요. 푸치가 가장 좋아하는 일은 TV에 나오는 다른 개들을 보거나 저희 애완새인 “피넛”을 보는 거예요. 피넛이 먹는 걸 구경하곤 하는데 아마 피넛이 먹이를 바닥에 흘려줘서 그런 거 같아요 ㅎㅎ. 푸치는 저와 신뢰가 잘 형성되었구요. 제 남편과도 신뢰를 쌓으려고 노력 중이에요. (나아지고는 있지만, 푸치가 저를 지키려고 해요). 그래도 밤이 되면 푸치는 제 무릎을 버리고 제 남편의 무릎에 앉더군요.

솔직히 말해서, 처음에는 힘들었어요. 저와 제 남편을 물기도 했고 (남편은 꽤 심하게 물렸어요) 하지만 우리가 푸치가 원하는 거리보다 가까이 갔기 때문일 거예요. 저희 집이 푸치에게 적합한 집이 아닐 수도 있을 것 같다는 불안감도 있었어요. 저는 남편과 상의 끝에 교육을 좀 더 열심히 해보기로 했어요. 푸치는 너무 잘 따라주었어요. 이제는 신뢰가 형성되었고 적당한 거리를 찾았어요. 푸치가 훌륭한 우리 가족의 일원이 될 거라는 사실을 알아요. 노력한 보람이 있어요.

푸치랑 쇼핑을 가면 많은 사람들이 푸치에게 인사해줘요. 아무도 푸치가 8살인 걸 믿어주지 않아요. 다들 푸치가 아주 어리다고 생각해요! 푸치는 가장 아래에 있는 진열대 위로 올라가서 모든 물건의 냄새를 맡아요. 새로운 사람도 좋아하지만 인사를 하기 전에 주변 모든 것의 냄새를 맡아요. 푸치는 어딜 가든 인기쟁이예요!

마지막으로, 푸치가 저에게 올 때까지 푸치를 도와주신 모든 분께 감사드려요. 전 푸치에게 너무 고맙고 저희가 푸치에게 두 번째 기회를 줄 수 있게 되었다는 것에 감사해요. 대의를 위한 여러분의 노고와 헌신에 감사드려요!
