It was definitely tough at first with how anxious he was about being in a new place - and his first home - but thanks to all of the support and information from the LALDR team, we were able to help him through the worst of it!

Pachino now sleeps with us in his big comfy bed in the bedroom all night and has settled into his new routine. He gets 3 walks a day which he absolutely loves! Jon makes him some special sweet potatoes and chicken on top of his kibble, and it has become clear that Pachino's one true love is food. We're having a great time testing out new little treats with him because we love seeing him so excited.

His training is going well too! He no longer wears belly bands or a leash in the house as he has stopped marking nervously. He knows stop, go, and sit, (still working on wait) which we practice every time he receives food or goes for walks. We are continuously surprised by how intelligent and eager to please Pachino is.

Every day, Pachino is opening up a little more to us and wants more affection. We can now see how much he loves people and we can't wait to introduce him to dogs in the future!

처음에는 흑돌이가 조금 불안해해서 확실히 힘들었어요. 하지만 LALDR팀의 도움과 정보 덕에 흑돌이가 극복할 수 있게 도와줄 수 있었어요!

흑돌이는 이제 매일 밤 저희 침실의 크고 푹신한 침대에서 같이 자요. 또 새로운 루틴에 적응했어요. 흑돌이는 하루에 3번 산책을 나가고 너무 좋아해요! 존(흑돌이아빠)은 고구마와 닭을 사료 위에 얹어 특식을 만들어줘요. 흑돌이가 진정 사랑하는 것은 음식이더군요. 우리는 흑돌이에게 새로운 간식을 줄 때면 녀석이 신나하는 모습 때문에 너무 즐거워요.

흑돌이의 훈련도 잘 되고 있어요! 흑돌이는 더 이상 집안에서 매너벨트나 목줄을 차지 않아도 돼요. 마킹을 안 하게 됐거든요. “멈춰”, “가”, “앉아” (“기다려”는 아직 배우는 중이에요)도 알아듣고 음식을 주거나 산책을 갈 때마다 연습하고 있어요. 우리는 흑돌이가 얼마나 총명한지, 얼마나 기쁨을 주는 아이인지 계속 놀라고 있답니다.

하루하루 흑돌이는 조금씩 저희에게 마음을 열어주고 저희의 사랑을 더 원해요. 이제 흑돌이가 얼마나 사람을 좋아하는지 보이고 흑돌이에게 다른 개를 소개시켜 줄 날이 기대돼요!
